Presbyterian College Unveils a Dynamic New Website, Strengthening Community Ties and Spotlighting Student Impact
July 9, 2025Presbyterian College has launched an engaging new website designed to welcome prospective students, alumni, and community members with easy navigation, bold visuals, and a strong emphasis on both academic excellence and civic engagement.
Fresh look, intuitive layout
The revamped site offers clear and user‑friendly menus for key audiences—Current Students, Accepted Students, Faculty & Staff, Alumni & Friends, First‑Gen Students, and Community—making it simpler than ever to find resources tailored to each group. It seamlessly integrates site-wide search with direct access to Admissions, Academics, Student Life, and About PC sections, creating a more immersive and inclusive experience.
Bold stats that underscore PC’s mission
Prominently featured on the homepage are standout stats that tell the PC story at a glance:
-
A 94 percent successful outcomes rate within six months of graduation
-
More than 90 majors, minors, and programs offered
-
$27 million in financial aid awarded
-
A 12:1 student–faculty ratio that reflects PC’s commitment to personal mentorship
These figures reinforce PC’s liberal arts ethos of empowering students academically, personally, and professionally.
Community spotlight takes center stage
A refreshed “For the Community” section highlights how PC uplifts Laurens County. The site celebrates initiatives like the Laurens County Service Scholars Program, which provides local students with a $30,000 annual scholarship in exchange for 30 hours per semester of community service across partner organizations such as Clinton Canopy, United Ministries, and Thornwell.
First-year scholar Gabby Helton ’28, for instance, planted trees at Millers Fork Trail after Hurricane Helene—an experience she described as “rewarding… helping create and maintain green spaces” and a window into the “love and care that goes into keeping Clinton beautiful.”
Celebrating ongoing service efforts
The college uses the updated site to shine a light on PC NAACP volunteer efforts too—like improving playground equipment at Calvert Park—building a sense of partnership between students and residents in Clinton and Laurens County.
A hub for news, events & engagement
Up-to-date news stories and event listings now appear alongside community-focused features, such as scholarship announcements and local service updates. Whether it’s a Connect2PC event, orientation schedule, or a spotlight on a student’s service project, the site offers comprehensive insight into what’s happening both on campus and in the region.
In summary
Presbyterian College’s redesigned website is more than just a digital facelift—it’s a declaration of purpose. With a streamlined interface, impactful statistics, and a deepened focus on community service, the site reflects PC’s mission to not only educate but also collaborate with and serve its local region.
“This new site reflects who we are at Presbyterian College,” said Dr. Anita Gustafson, president of PC. “It tells the story of a college deeply rooted in service, committed to student success, and proud to call Laurens County home. We want every visitor—whether a prospective student or a local resident—to see themselves as part of our story.”
By giving local students a platform through service-led scholarships, showcasing student-run volunteer projects, and providing easy access to community-specific resources, the new website brilliantly connects PC’s “While We Live, We Serve” ethos to real-world action in Laurens County.
