Presbyterian College’s “Tartan Threads” Career Closet Seeks Donations of Professional Attire

November 11, 2025

Presbyterian College is calling on the community to help Blue Hose students make strong first impressions at interviews, career fairs, conferences, and other professional events. The college’s career closet, Tartan Threads, provides undergraduate students with free, modern business attire—ensuring that wardrobe is never a barrier to opportunity.

Managed by the Career & Professional Development (CPD) team, Tartan Threads accepts lightly used or new professional clothing for men and women. Community members, alumni, businesses, and friends of PC are invited to contribute.

What to Donate

  • Business suits and blazers

  • Dress shirts/blouses and professional tops

  • Dress pants, skirts, and conservative dresses

  • Ties, belts, and professional accessories

  • Closed-toe dress shoes in good condition

Please ensure items are clean, in current styles, and ready to wear (no stains, tears, or missing buttons).

How to Donate

  • Drop-off: Bring donations during business hours to CPD, Laurens Hall, Room 212, 207 E. Maple St., Clinton, SC 29325.

  • By mail: Ship donations to the same address: CPD, Laurens Hall, Room 212, 207 E. Maple St., Clinton, SC 29325.

With community support, Tartan Threads helps students put their best foot forward—one outfit at a time. And if you’ve been meaning to clear out your closet (or finally admit that those “someday” outfits may never fit again), this is the perfect reason to let them go and put them to good use for a Blue Hose ready to shine.
