Princeton Review rates Citadel School of Business among nation’s best

CHARLESTON, SC – October 13, 2010 – Citadel MBA students have once again given the School of Business Administration high marks, putting it on The Princeton Review’s list of the top 301 business schools in the country. The 2011 rankings were released today.

“We are pleased to be recognized by The Princeton Review, particularly since it values what our students think of our overall quality,” said Ron Green, dean of the school of business. “Our faculty are dedicated to an outstanding learning environment as we prepare principled leaders for business.”

The Princeton Review does not assign a number to the schools that its ranks. The college’s selection is based on survey results collected from students at AACSB- accredited MBA programs. There are approximately 550 business schools or business programs with AACSB accreditation nationwide.

The Best 301 Business Schools” profiles schools’ academics, student life and admissions, plus ratings for their academics, selectivity and career placement services. In student surveys The Citadel School of Business was lauded because it “blends tried-and-true academic theory with practical know-how, maintaining ‘a good mix of some older, tenured professors, but also some new professors coming in to mix things up.’”

The Citadel School of Business Administration with around 300 students enrolled in its MBA program aims to produce leaders of exceptional integrity dedicated to developing others and creating high-performance organizations that prosper in challenging environments.

The Princeton Review gave special note to the school’s revamped curriculum and improved leadership focus. The School of Business  Administration delivers a Leadership Forum, provides a unique Mentors Association to guide students, offers global experiences through travel abroad, and has dual-degree programs with medical, pharmacy and health care administration students.
