Prisma Health launches two retail imaging centers to increase access and affordability of high-quality MRI, CT and X-ray services

On Monday, July 29, Prisma Health opened two new imaging centers, one in the Upstate and one in the Midlands, to provide patients and communities with accessible, affordable, high-quality MRI, CT and X-ray services.
Prisma imaging centers are specifically for serving outpatients who need non-urgent imaging for diagnosis or prior to a scheduled medical procedure. The access and flexibility of scheduling in an imaging center outside the hospital setting offers patients easier scheduling and lower cost. Hospital imaging departments must prioritize emergency and inpatient care on a 24/7 basis.

Clinicians may refer their patients to a retail imaging location two ways:
- Clinicians can order and schedule imaging for patients when they check out of their office visit, selecting the location most convenient for the patient.
- Patients with an imaging order can self-schedule by visiting MyChart and selecting one of our retail imaging centers, or by calling the scheduling line at: 803-567-8950 for the Columbia area or 864-522-6370 for the Greenville area.
