Prisma Health Midlands Foundation welcomes Jeffery Faw as new Executive Director

Prisma Health Midlands Foundation today announced the selection of its new executive director, Jeffery Faw.
Faw brings more than 30 years of extensive fundraising, development and sales experience to the Foundation, most recently serving as director of administration for Prisma Health Tuomey and executive director and chief development officer of the Tuomey Foundation – the philanthropic arm of Prisma Health Tuomey in Sumter. In those roles the past 15 years, Faw helped advance donor programs, community engagement, strategic plans and more.

Faw has deep roots in the Midlands, living in the Sumter area for more than 27 years. He and his wife have three adult children. He is a current member of the South Carolina Hospital Association Fund Development board, Sumter Chamber of Commerce, Shaw Air Force Base Honorary Wing Commander Program, Shaw Sumter Community Council, Sumter Smarter Growth Initiative, Santee Lynches Regional Council of Governments and a graduate of Leadership Sumter Class XXI.

I am honored to follow two strong leaders, Lynne Pitzer and Samuel Tenenbaum, and I look forward to the great work the Foundation will continue to accomplish collaboratively.”
As executive director of Prisma Health Midlands Foundation, Faw will work with the Foundation team, boards and local hospital leaders to engage donors and foster philanthropic support for Prisma Health in the Midlands. For more than 22 years, community support through Prisma Health Midlands Foundation has resulted in more than $135 million in distributions to Prisma Health in the Midlands. This support has helped Prisma Health advance programs and services and fund innovative equipment for patients throughout the Midlands.
The search for a new executive director at the Tuomey Foundation is currently underway, and Faw has agreed to assist the new leader and board during the transition.
