Three South Carolina Residents Will Answer Parents’ and Students’ Questions About New Online High School
CHARLESTON, SC – April 22, 2009 – Provost Academy, South Carolina’s newest free online public high school, has named 3 South Carolina residents to travel the state to inform parents and students about this new and innovative education choice now available.
Provost Academy South Carolina is a new state-authorized public online school that is free of charge to residents of South Carolina, and offers high school students the public school choice of an engaging, adaptable and quality online learning experience. Students work toward their regular public high school diploma — recognized by colleges and employers — as they would in a traditional school, but in the convenient, safe environment of their own home through computer-based educational programs.
Diana Blue of Myrtle Beach, Josh Brickey of Columbia, and Frankie Creel of Spartanburg are Provost Academy’s Community Outreach Directors. They will be working within the three traditional regions of the state.
Diana Blue is the Community Outreach Director for the Lowcountry region. She is a resident of Myrtle Beach, and a long-time educator. In addition to her role with Provost Academy, Diana also serves as Principal of Chabad Academy in Myrtle Beach.
Josh Brickey serves as the Community Outreach Director for the Midlands region. A resident of Columbia, Josh has served as a Minister of Students for more than a decade, most recently at Springwell Church in Taylors and at Spartanburg Community Church.
Frankie Creel, a resident of the Spartanburg area, will be the Community Outreach Director for the Upstate region. He is a former teacher, and current Executive/Technological Pastor of the Hub City Church in Spartanburg.
