Prysmian Group welcomes diplomat, congressman to North American headquarters

Yesterday Prysmian Group, in the energy and telecom cable and systems industry, welcomed European Union Ambassador David O’Sullivan and Congressman Joe Wilson to its North American headquarters in Lexington. The visit is part of a larger tour of South Carolina for Ambassador O’Sullivan led by Congressman Wilson, which includes a business rountable with the S.C. Chamber of Commerce to discuss trade inside the European Union and experience firsthand business at work throughout the state.

- In July 2017, Prysmian Group began a $14 million expansion to its Abbeville, S.C., facility to support future sustainable energy projects for offshore windfarms.
In addition to its strides in the energy and telecom markets, Prysmian Group is investing in the recruitment and retention of top-tier talent from around the world to South Carolina. In August 2017, the company broke ground on a new research and development center expansion in Lexington to make way for a new Prysmian Group Academy, the company’s network of corporate education facilities designed to enhance the potential of professionals via specialized programs.
