Quackenbush Architects + Planners announces new associate architect, Hannah Cuttill
September 3, 2025Quackenbush Architects + Planners announced and welcomed Hannah Cuttill to the Q+ team as a new associate architect.
Cuttill, who grew up in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, has both a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Architecture from Clemson University. She spent two years working for an architecture firm prior to beginning her graduate program, an experience she says helped her refine her knowledge about the building process.
She was drawn to Quackenbush Architects + Planners because of its success as a small- to medium-size firm. “I really like how you can easily get to know each member of the team,” she says.
Cuttill says she was also drawn to the Q+ education projects, linking it to her experience working as a camp counselor and leading programs for children at her church. “I feel my work with a wide range of ages of children, from elementary to high school, helps me understand what the needs are in this sector.”
She says the problem-solving nature of architecture is one of the most exciting aspects of the field.
“I enjoy the relationship you get to develop with clients to help them achieve their goals. In the end, it’s all about making their vision come to life and using our skills to guide them through a sometimes hard to visualize process.”
She is most proud of the work she did as part of the Black Heritage Trail near Clemson. “We designed and built planar structures to act as mediums for information about Black history in the Upstate,” she says.
“We’re really happy to have Hannah join the team,” says Quackenbush Architects + Planners President Doug Quackenbush. “Her experience and insights on education programming will be a wonderful contribution to our team.”
