March 5, 2025

Four players on the Presbyterian Blue Hose men’s basketball team earned All-Big South Conference honors, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

BIG SOUTH HONORS
Senior guard Kobe Stewart was a Second Team All-Big South Conference selection. Sophomore guard Kory Mincy was voted Honorable Mention All-Big South. Freshman forward Iverson King was a Big South All-Freshman team selection. Senior forward Kaleb Scott earned Big South All-Academic team honors.

These four players played a major role in helping the Blue Hose win seven Big South Conference games, which is tied for the fourth most Big South wins in the program’s history. Presbyterian also earned the fifth seed to this week’s Big South Tournament, which is the highest Big South Tournament seed in the program’s history.

STEWART SECOND TEAM ALL-BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE
Stewart is the ninth player in the program’s history to earn All-Big South Conference accolades.

The Augusta, Georgia native ranks eighth in the Big South in scoring, averaging a team-leading 15.1 points per game.  Stewart has recorded 26 double-digit scoring games this season while ranking fifth in the league in field goal percentage, shooting 48.2 percent.  On January 25 against Radford in the Templeton Center, he scored his 1,000th career point. Stewart is second on the team with 80 assists while grabbing 5.1 rebounds per game.

On January 27, Stewart was named Big South Player of the Week after averaging 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists in Presbyterian’s two games that week while shooting 70.8 percent from the field and 60 percent from beyond the three-point arc. In November, he captured the Axe’Em Classic MVP award after helping lead the Blue Hose to the tournament title with wins over Stephen F. Austin, Youngstown State, and Monmouth.

MINCY HONORABLE MENTION ALL-BIG SOUTH

Mincy is the tenth player in the program’s history to claim All-Big South Conference honors. Last season, Mincy was named to the Big South All-Freshman team.

The East Point, Georgia native ranks ninth in the league in scoring, averaging 14.9 points per game while recording 26 double-figure scoring games. Mincy is second in the Big South in assists at 4.4 per game while dishing out 136 assists, which is the most assists by a PC player since the 2018-19 season.

On November 11, Mincy garnered Big South Player of the Week honors after averaging 18.7 points and eight assists in Presbyterian’s games against Charlotte, Carolina Christian, and NC State that week.

KING BIG SOUTH ALL-FRESHMAN TEAM
King is the seventh player in Presbyterian men’s basketball history to garner Big South All-Freshman team accolades.

The Lewisville, North Carolina native has recorded eight double-figure scoring games while posting a 10-rebounds performance in Presbyterian’s home win over Charleston Southern on January 22. King earned the Big South Freshman of the Week award for two straight weeks earlier this season (January 20, January 27).

SCOTT BIG SOUTH ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
This season, Scott averages 9.0 points and 5.5 rebounds while recording two double-doubles. Scott has tallied seven double-figure scoring games, including scoring 22 points in a win over USC Upstate on February 5 and 21 points in Presbyterian’s win over Gardner-Webb on March 1.

The Raleigh, North Carolina native is majoring in Business Administration and was named to the NABC Honors Court last summer for his hard work in the classroom.
