Raiders Win Playoff Opener

Jackson Edwards pitched 6-2/3 strong innings and Zak Rice recorded a save as Laurens won its Class 4A baseball playoff opener on Saturday, 4-1, over Catawba Ridge of Fort Mill.

The Copperheads loaded the bases with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Rice moved from catcher to the mound and struck out the final batter.
