Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) class announcement

The Lexington Police Department is currently seeking applicants for the upcoming Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) training class which will be taught by officers who are certified R.A.D. Instructors.

The R.A.D. classes will be taught at the Lexington Police Department over four dates with the three hour classes beginning at 6:00 p.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m. each night.

  • Monday, March 5, 2018
  • Wednesday, March 7, 2018
  • Thursday, March 8, 2018

The purpose of the Rape Aggression Defense classes is to provide women with self-defense skills that are learned quickly and giving them confidence when faced with a possible violent encounter.

Women are encouraged to attend this no cost training.  Teenagers, age 14 or greater, can attend with parental consent.  Students are asked to dress comfortably and will be expected to complete all three evening training sessions for R.A.D. completion.

There is limited space in this class, so please register early.
