Earlier this year, exemptions were given to Mark Anderson, Bryson DeChambeau, Cheng Jin and Camilo Villegas. Fan favorites including Luke Donald, Jason Dufner, Ernie Els, Louis Oosthuizen, Ian Poulter and Webb Simpson are also scheduled to compete for a share of the $6.5 million purse.

The Orlando, Florida native played golf at Clemson before turning pro in 2009.  He is the grandson of the late Arnold Palmer, who won the first Heritage in 1969. Saunders will be competing at Harbour Town for the fourth time.
