Re-energize local teens as peak of summer vacation hits
June 27, 2018Richland Library Braces for National Anti-Boredom Month
As the middle of summer vacation approaches, are you running low on ideas to keep your teens busy, active and excited? Richland Library is looking to replace sighs with smiles during National Anti-Boredom Month.
This July, have your teens visit any of our library locations to see what’s trending or get tailored recommendations from our staff on what to read, listen to or watch.
There are also more than 80 programs planned for teens, ages 12 to 18, across our library system. See if any of the following spark your interest:
July 7 – Binge Watch: Stranger Things at our Main location
July 10 – Digital DIY: Makeup Tutorials at our Main location
July 13 – Friday the 13th: Teen Lock-In at our Main location
July 16 – Create Dog & Cat Toys for Shelters at our Sandhills location
July 17 – Open Studio: Jewelry at our Ballentine location
July 25 – Fandom Day: K-Pop! at our Main location
July 26 – Recycled Portraits at our Blythewood location
July 28 – Glowing Memory Jars at our Main location
A complete list of programs can be found here.
Lastly, if you haven’t had the opportunity, be sure to check out the recent renovations to the Teen Center at our Main location, which reopened earlier this year.
