Rebuild Upstate breaks yearly record in six months
June 25, 2015GREENVILLE, SC – An Upstate nonprofit organization has broken their previous yearly record for accomplished projects in only six months.
Rebuild Upstate helps low-income homeowners with home repairs and accessibility improvements to create safe, livable housing in existing homes and neighborhoods. The organization’s current record is 62 home-improvement projects completed in one calendar year.
Rebuild Upstate is currently working on the organization’s 63rd project of 2015.
The home to break the record belongs to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Algood. Robert has lived in the home for nearly 20 years and was joined by his wife, BJ, after the two were married. Improvements to the Algood’s home include new siding, roof and porch repairs, electrical fixes and fresh paint.
“We are amazed by what Rebuild Upstate has been able to accomplish on our home,” said Mrs. Algood. “We recommend their services to anyone in need of improvements. They are a blessing.”
“This tremendous growth is a testament to our amazing staff and volunteers,” said Chris Manley, Executive Director of Rebuild Upstate. “We look forward to continued growth through the second half of 2015 and beyond.”
