Reedy Family Practice Celebrates One Year Anniversary

GREENVILLE, SC – January 7, 2013 – Reedy Family Medicine, a family practice providing urgent, preventative and chronic care, is proud to celebrate their first anniversary in Greenville. Last October, five doctors operating as a well-known Greenville family practice formed Reedy Family Medicine, to become part of the Bon Secours Medical Group. Their practice connects patients to a network of over forty St. Francis-affiliated medical practices, linking directly to the quality and resources of the Bon Secours St. Francis Health System. The physicians at Reedy Family Medicine have a combined 70 years of experience serving citizens in Family Medicine.
We chose to establish Reedy Family Medicine in the Greenville area for the same reasons many of our patients call this home. The generosity and kindness of our patients over the past year have been a significant part of our success. We couldn’t have imagined a better environment to live, practice and raise our families, while helping others do the same, said Dr. William Messer.
While the practice name is new, Reedy Family Medicine was born of one of the oldest family practices in the Greenville area. When forming their new practice in 2011, the physicians had the goal of delivering medical care to patients of all ages. Many of the doctors at Reedy Family Medicine have been working together for more than 10 years, assimilating backgrounds that range from an Army Corps of Engineer reporter to a pitcher on a national championship baseball team. Their various experiences lead to a better understanding of patient’s situations, more empathy and ultimately, better delivery of care.
To celebrate their first anniversary, Reedy Family Medicine unveiled a new website that will give patients more control over their medical information while simplifying office visits. The Doctor’s Bag, a digital communications company supporting healthcare entities, operated as a strategic partner in developing the new website, which includes a link to their Patient Portal. The portal allows current and prospective patients to complete medical forms, request medication refills and schedule appointments online.
When forming Reedy Family Medicine a year ago, their mission was to provide treatment to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Reedy Family Medicine is dedicated to providing efficient service and medical care by offering same-day appointments and giving patients attention for their individual and unique health needs.
