Lace up your running shoes and join the 24th annual Reindeer Run supporting the Youth Scholarship Program
The holiday season in Laurens, South Carolina, is about to receive a healthy dose of festive cheer as the Laurens YMCA gears up for its 24th annual Reindeer Run. Taking place on Saturday, December 9th, 2023, this community event offers an exciting 5K run and a Fun Run for the kids. It’s a heartwarming way to get active while supporting the Youth Scholarship Program, all in the spirit of giving.
Register and Run for a Cause
Participants can register online at lakelandsymca.org. The registration fees help fund the Youth Scholarship Program, ensuring that children in the Laurens community can access YMCA programs and services.
- Early Bird Registration: $30 (Available until November 19th, includes a guaranteed race shirt)
- Regular Registration: $35
- Fun Run (Ages 1-12): $5 (T-shirt must be purchased separately before November 19th)
Race Details
The 5K run begins at 9:00 am, followed by the Fun Run for the kids at 9:05 am. Awards will be given to the first overall male and female runners, with a prize of $100 each, while the second overall male and female participants will receive $50. Age division winners will also be recognized.

The Laurens YMCA Reindeer Run offers sponsorship levels for individuals, families, and businesses who wish to support this community event and the Youth Scholarship Program. The sponsorship levels are as follows:
Level 1: Individual/Family Sponsor – $35
- 24″ x 18″ in-ground yard sign prior to race day
- 1 T-shirt
Level 2: Business/Organization – $100-$245 (Secured by Oct. 31)
- 24″ x 18″ in-ground yard sign prior to race day
- Name on T-shirt
Level 3: Business/Organization – $250-$395 (Secured by Oct. 31)
- 24″ x 18″ in-ground yard sign prior to race day
- Name on T-shirt
- Name/Logo on Race Day Banner
Level 4: Business/Organization – $400-$595 (Secured by Oct. 31)
- 24″ x 18″ in-ground yard sign prior to race day

Level 5: Business/Organization – $600 (Secured by Oct. 31)
