Residential Building and Energy Codes to Change July 1

COLUMBIA, SC – June 3, 2009 – The 2006 International Residential Code (IRC) with the S.C. Modifications as well as the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) will be implemented on July 1, 2009.
The Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia will host a seminar on Friday, June 26th at Seawells in Columbia on the significant changes from the 2003 IRC and the S.C. Modifications as well as the required changes to meet the new 2006 IECC, which replaces the South Carolina Energy Code.
