ReWa’s Bryan Kohart Recognized with WEASC Engineer of the Year Award

GREENVILLE, SC – April 17, 2013 – Bryan Kohart, P.E., Senior Environmental Engineer for Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) was recognized at the South Carolina Environmental Conference (SCEC) with the Water Environment Association of South Carolina (WEASC) Engineer of the Year Award.

The WEASC Engineer of the Year Award is given to an engineer who is responsible for the design of a facility, or has demonstrated excellence by managing, directing, operating, education, research or pollution prevention on a project in the field of wastewater collection, treatment, or residual management.

Since 2005, Kohart has served as a leader for ReWa, bringing countless projects to fruition with environment-minded results. ReWa strives for the most environmentally and economically sound practices, which when necessary, involve the expansion of wastewater treatment facilities (WWTF) or upgrading of infrastructure and advanced technology. Kohart has always been eager to manage and oversee these projects, serving as the project manager for multiple construction, engineering and design projects for numerous WWTF. Most noteworthy, has been his impeccable work on ReWa’s new Piedmont Regional WWTF. As Project Manager for Piedmont Regional WWTF Kohart has overseen ReWa’s first construction manager at risk (CMAR) project as part of the construction of the state’s largest membrane bioreactor (MBR) facility, a 4 MGD WWTF. 

Kohart holds a Bachelors of Science in Biosystems Engineering from Clemson University and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of South Carolina. Kohart has been a Senior Environmental Engineer for ReWa since December of 2005.
