Richland and Lexington County Road Construction Information for Week Beginning March 30, 2015

COLUMBIA, SC – Expect minor delays, flagging operations, and lane closures along SC 277 between Sunset Drive and Interstate 20 in Richland County for bridge deck patching. Completion is anticipated May 31, 2015.

Expect delays and nighttime lane closures for exit ramp work on Interstate 20 at SC 215 Monticello Road (MM 68) in both directions. Completion is anticipated June 30, 2015.

Expect delays and nighttime lane closures to widen Interstate 20 from Interstate 77 (MM 74.7) past Spears Creek Church Road (MM 84.6) in Richland County. Completion is anticipated winter 2015.

Expect minor delays, flagging operations and possible nighttime detours on Alpine Road (under I-20) between Faraway Drive and Polo Road in Richland County while ramp intersections are being improved and I-20 bridges are being widened / reconstructed. Completion is anticipated winter 2015.

Routine nighttime lane closures are expected on I-26 from the I-77/US321 interchange (Mile Marker 115) to S-6/Caw Caw Road. (Mile Marker 136) in both the eastbound and westbound directions. The eastbound and westbound I-26 travel lanes from I-77 (MM 115) to Old Sandy Run Road (MM 125) are now shifted to the right to provide room for temporary concrete barriers and heavy construction in the highway median. The speed limit has been reduced to 60 mph in this area. Dixiana Road beneath I-26 has been closed and local traffic detoured for reconstruction of the I-26 Bridge over CSX RR and Dixiana Road. Interstate milling and paving is underway between MP 125 and MP 135, eastbound and westbound. The eastbound and westbound rest areas near MM 122 are closed for the duration of this project. The anticipated completion date for this project is October 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures along US-1 (Augusta Highway) from Schofield Road (S-1849) to Old Field Road (S-31) in Lexington County. Anticipated widening construction along US-1 in this area will be completed December 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures along S-32-127 (Park Road) from US 378/US 1 to Brookhill Street. Anticipated completion date for this sidewalk construction is April 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures on S-278 (Calks Ferry Road) in Lexington County for reclamation and resurfacing. Anticipated completion date is April 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures on S-774 (Neely Wingard Road) in Lexington County for resurfacing. Anticipated completion date is April 2015.

Expect minor delays and flagging operations along SC 6 @ S-40-957 (Farming Creek Road) and S-40-156 (Salem Church Road) for construction associated with intersection improvement. Completion is anticipated June 30, 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures on St. Andrews Road (S-36) and Jamil Rd (S-1791), in Lexington County for signal upgrades and sidewalk work. Completion is anticipated April 3, 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures on St. Andrews Road (S-36) and I-26 Eastbound Ramp, in Lexington County for signal upgrades and sidewalk work. Completion is anticipated April 3, 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures on Old Two Notch Road (S-70) and Longs Pond Road (S-204), in Lexington County for signal upgrade work. Completion is anticipated April 30, 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures on Trenholm Road (S-33) and O’Neil Court (S-1677), in Lexington County for signal upgrades and sidewalk work. Completion is anticipated May 22, 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures on Sunset Boulevard (US 378) and Klapman Road/Cougar Drive (S-1225), in Lexington County for signal upgrades and sidewalk work. Completion is anticipated May 22, 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures on Sunset Boulevard (US 378) and 12^th Street (SC 35)/Seminole Drive (S-69), in Lexington County for signal upgrades and sidewalk work. Completion is anticipated May 22, 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures on Old Two Notch Road (S-70) and Longs Pond Road (S-204), in Lexington County for signal upgrades and sidewalk work. Completion is anticipated April 1, 2015.

 

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures on Rimer Pond Road (S-1041) in Richland County for widening and resurfacing.  Anticipated completion date is March 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures along US-1 (Augusta Highway) from Schofield Road (S-1849) to Old Field Road (S-31) in Lexington County. Anticipated widening construction along US-1 in this area will be completed December 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations and lane closures along S-32-127 (Park Road) from US 378/US 1 to Brookhill Street. Anticipated completion date for this sidewalk construction is April 2015.

Expect minor delays, lane closures, and flagging operations along US 321 @ S-32-663 (Wood Trail Drive) for construction associated with intersection improvement. Completion is anticipated May 15, 2015.

Expect delays, flagging operations, and lane closures on S-37 (Lower Richland Blvd.) in Richland County for clearing and roadwork. Anticipated completion date is June 30, 2015.
