COLUMBIA, SC — Richland County Council provides a wide variety of Boards and Commissions that encourages its members to participate in discussions that affect and shape the future of the County. County Council believes it is not only the right, but the responsibility of interested and capable citizens to become engaged in local government policy by advising the Chairman and County Council on important community-related issues. Serving on a Board or Commission is an excellent way to make a personal contribution to Richland County’s growth and can be a rewarding experience for everyone!
Richland County Council is currently accepting applications for the following vacancies:
1. Richland County Airport Commission – One (1) opening
2. Accommodations Tax Committee- Two (2) openings
Applicants must have a background in Lodging and Hospitality
3. Building Codes Board of Appeals – Two (2) openings
One position for a plumber and one position for someone from the fire industry
4. Business Service Center Appeals Board – One (1) opening
Applicant must be a CPA
5. Board of Zoning Appeals- Two (2) openings
6. Employee Grievance Committee- Three (3) openings
Applicants must be employees of Richland County Government
Note: Please complete the Employee Grievance Committee Application
7. Internal Audit Committee- One (1) opening
Applicant must be a CPA
8. Planning Commission-Four (4) openings
9. Procurement Review Panel- Two (2) openings
Applicant must be from the Service Industry
Richland County Council will accept applications until April 10, 2015 at noon
