Richland County Sheriff Receives Champion of Housing Award

COLUMBIA, SC – In recognition of an outstanding record of service to the important challenge of affordable housing The Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia is pleased and proud to present the Champion of Housing Award to Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott. Presenting the award was Stewart Mungo, co-owner of Mungo Homes at the General Membership meeting of the Home Builders Association held June 12, 2014. Mungo Homes nominated Sheriff Lott for this recognition for his outstanding and aggressive investigation of job site theft of new homes under construction, “The Sheriff makes our community a safer place to live and contributes to the quality of life in Richland County” said Mungo.

The Champion of Housing Award is given to a local public official who has provided outstanding service to a local Home BuildersAssociation or has made a significant contribution to the Homebuilding industry or to housing at the local level.
