Richland Library Friends accepting donations for upcoming book sales

June 23, 2016

COLUMBIA, SC – Members of the community have an opportunity to let countless stories live on through their donations. The Richland Library Friends are welcoming gently used books, CDs and DVDs for their upcoming summer and fall book sales.

You can drop off materials – up to four boxes – at any of our 11 locations during normal business hours. If you have a bigger collection, bring it to Richland Library Main’s loading dock, located behind the building on Park Street.

Staff are happy to accept your donations and provide you with a receipt for the number of items donated, but they will not provide a dollar value, so make sure you assess the value of your items beforehand for tax purposes.

All materials will be sorted, priced and shelved at Richland Library’s Operations Center (130 Lancewood Road) where the Richland Library Friends hold books sales several times a year to raise money for Richland Library programming.

Please help us give these materials a second life in a new home library!

For questions, please contact Emily Stoll at 803-587-3637 or email [email protected].
