Richland Library still holding 2020 Summer Learning Challenge

May 21, 2020

As the virtual school year winds down and the unofficial start to summer arrives, Richland Library is excited to share our annual Summer Learning Challenge is moving forward. Starting June 1, we are committed to being your trusted source for learning over the summer.

This year, we encourage customers to create their own Summer Learning Challenge by finding opportunities in the community to learn, create and share. Track your progress at richlandlibrary.com/summer or on a paper record.

Because our library locations remain closed until further notice, in the interest of public safety, we are offering new options, like completing learning activities and attending online programs, to earn points and help complete your Summer Learning Challenge. What remains the same – earning points for every 30 minutes that you read.

Don’t forget to share your progress and celebrate your completion of the Summer Learning Challenge with us online, using #ilearnbecause.

With a goal of keeping minds active and engaged over a three-month period to combat the summer slide, the Summer Learning Challenge runs through August 16, 2020.
