Richland One Invites Parents to District’s Choice Fair – January 11

December 15, 2017

Language immersion, health sciences, Montessori and International Baccalaureate programs are just a few of the many educational choices that Richland One offers students at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

On Thursday, January 11, 2018, the district will hold its first-ever Choice Fair where families can learn more about magnet programs and other options available to students at schools throughout the district. The event will be held from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Crayton Middle School gym, 5000 Clemson Avenue.

School and district staff will be on site to share information about Richland One’s choice programs and answer questions from parents and students, including about eligibility criteria and application procedures. All Richland One parents are invited and encouraged to attend.

“In Richland One, we don’t believe that all children learn in the same way,” said Superintendent Dr. Craig Witherspoon. “We believe that offering students more exciting and diverse educational choices will lead to greater opportunities as they prepare for college and careers. Our choice programs are designed to challenge students academically and appeal to their personal and career interests.”
