Richland One launches new Mobile App

March 6, 2018

Now more than ever, parents want to stay informed about what’s happening in their children’s schools. Richland One’s new mobile app will allow parents to get emergency alerts and notifications, as well as quick access to news and resources, whether they’re at home, at work or on the go.

The Richland One mobile app is designed for Apple and Android devices. The free app is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play; search for Richland One. After you download the app, you can choose to follow specific schools or just get general district news.

Information and items available within the app include a calendar, directory of schools, lunch menus and social media feeds. You also can watch Richland One TV, get sports scores, subscribe to the district’s SpotlightONE newsletter and check job opportunities in Richland One.

The app also includes a link to the PowerSchool Parent Portal, where parents can log in to get real-time access to their children’s grades, attendance information, assignments and more. Another important feature of the app is a Safe Schools Line that students can use to report any issues that may pose a threat to school safety. Reports can be made anonymously or students can opt to provide their names and contact information.

“We want our students and parents to be informed and engaged,” said Richland One Superintendent Dr. Craig Witherspoon. “Our new mobile app is a convenient way for all of our stakeholders to stay connected to what’s happening in the district. I encourage everyone to download the free app today.”
