Richland Penny Program presents Annual Report

January 27, 2016

The Richland Penny Program presents its 2015 Annual Report for the Richland County Transportation Sales Tax Program. This is the first year of operations of the transportation penny under the Program Development Team.

The eight sections of the Annual Report are aimed at providing accessible, comprehensive and relevant information to citizens of Richland County. It is available on the Richland Penny Program website.

The publication details the number of projects under the program, sales tax collection to date, service improvements with The Comet, and the impact to the Richland County Small Local Business Enterprises Program. The report also includes an overview of projects to be completed and begin construction in 2016.

“The Annual Report is not only a mechanism for illustrating what’s been accomplished to date, but also as a tool to remind citizens of the projects included in the program and how their penny is being implemented overall within the county,” said Rob Perry, Richland County transportation director.
