Ridge View Classroom gets “Flipped”

COLUMBIA, SC – Ridge View High School teacher Wendi Wimmer will kick off the new year with a brand new classroom. The McWaters furniture company sponsored a “Flip My Classroom” contest designed to give one lucky teacher a $40,000 state-of-the-art room, complete with high-performance furniture from Steelcase. Applicants submitted videos to McWaters detailing why their classroom needed the makeover and Ms. Wimmer was selected as the winner by a group of South Carolina education professionals and Steelcase educational specialists.
During the holiday break, crews from McWaters completed the makeover to Ms. Wimmer’s room and will unveil the redesigned classroom tomorrow, Thursday, January 8 at 2 p.m.
