Riley Institute at Furman seeks nominees for Diversity Leadership Awards

February 5, 2020

The Riley Institute at Furman University seeks nominations in six different categories for the 2020 Upstate Diversity Leadership Awards. The categories are: Individual, High School Student, College Student, Business, Nonprofit, and K-12 school.

Nominations are due by 11 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10.

The awards will be presented at the 16th annual Upstate Diversity Leadership Awards Celebration on April 28 at the Peace Center.

Nominees (individuals, organizations, and businesses) should be role models in the ten-county Upstate region who are promoting an inclusive work or community environment and championing diversity as an important individual or organizational mission.

The awards and ceremony grew from a community action project as part of the Riley Institute’s Diversity Leaders Initiative (DLI). Since its inception, the Riley Institute and the Greater Greenville, Anderson and Spartanburg chambers of commerce have partnered to present the celebration each year.
