Roots Restaurant Officially Opens Doors on Spartanburg’s East Side

SPARTANBURG, SC – Roots: Deep South Eats announced their grand opening at 1071 Fernwood Glendale Road, Spartanburg. The restaurant celebrated the opening on Monday December 1st with an official ribbon cutting.

Roots is a family restaurant that serves authentic Southern classics like chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and fried green tomatoes, as well as universal favorites like burgers and steaks.

“Our philosophy is to offer delicious comfort food that is consistently good,” stated Barry Easler, co-owner and head chef. “We’re excited about sharing our traditional family recipes, like Mimaw’s mac and cheese, while putting our own spin on the menu.”

“We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve Spartanburg,” stated Tracy Haynes, co-owner and manager. “Barry and I are happy to see our vision become a reality, and we are thrilled to satisfy Spartanburg’s craving for awesome Southern cookin’.”
