Roper St. Francis Healthcare announces operational changes due to Tropical Storm Debby

Healthcare system updates temporary changes for elective procedures and facilities operations as tropical storm Debby impacts the area

In light of recent forecasts for Tropical Storm Debby, Roper St. Francis Healthcare has important updates regarding its operations over the next two days.

Critical Updates:

To ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and staff, we will be handling emergent and urgent cases only tomorrow. The following adjustments will be in effect:

  • All four Roper St. Francis hospitals will continue to manage emergent and urgent cases.
  • Moncks Corner Medical Plaza and Roper Hospital Diagnostics & ER – Northwoods will open at 7 a.m. tomorrow.
  • All RSF Express Care locations, except for the Tanger location in North Charleston, will open at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
  • Radiology and infusion services will be available as they are considered urgent.
  • RSF Home Health and Hospice services will have a two-hour delayed start tomorrow morning.

Looking Ahead

We are currently planning to resume normal system operations on Thursday, including elective surgery cases and Roper St. Francis Physician Partners practices. Our Senior Centers are also expected to reopen on Thursday. A final decision will be made tomorrow morning based on the latest weather forecast.
