Rotary Club of Lexington celebrates start of new Rotary year and inducts 2025-2026 officers and new board members
July 8, 2025The Rotary Club of Lexington, which has served the Lexington community for over 50 years, proudly kicked off the new Rotary year on July 10, marking the official start of the 2025-2026 term with the induction of its new officer and board members. This annual tradition is part of Rotary International’s tradition, celebrated by clubs around the world every July.
“I am honored to serve as President of the Rotary Club of Lexington,” said Tom Schlictman. “Our focus this year is on expanding our community impact, which supports Rotary International’s theme of Unite For Good. I am excited to work alongside our dedicated members to make a difference in our community.”
The 2025-2026 Rotary Club of Lexington officers are:
President – Tom Schlictman, Executive Director of Development, Midlands Technical College
Vice President – Angelle LaBorde, President & CEO, Lexington Chamber & Visitors Center
Secretary – Ann O’Cain, Retired Educator, Lexington County School District One
Treasurer – Baxter Donaldson, Retired Banker, First Community Bank
Immediate Past President – Alia Bostaji, Commercial Real Estate, Colliers
Sergeant-at-Arms – Matthew Shockley, General Manager, Mika Contracting, Inc.
Foundation Chair – Guy Schmoltze, Civil Engineer, Joint Municipal Water and Sewer Commission
Membership Chair – Gale McCartha, Banker, Security Federal Bank
New Board Members are:

Oneal Staples – Lexington Market President, Ameris Bank
Bryce Myers – Principal, Lexington Technology Center
Jack Stuart – Economic Developer, Town of Lexington
Continuing board members are Mike Kelley and Greg Labyak.
The Rotary Club of Lexington, a service organization with 77 members, supports its community through a variety of fundraising events and service projects. Its annual golf tournament raises approximately $25,000 for community service initiatives, while RotaryFest, an oyster roast held each March, generates about $30,000 each year to fund scholarships for students in Lexington School District 1. In addition to these efforts, the club organizes community service projects such as Adopt a Highway and provides support to Chris Myers’ Children’s Place and the Nancy K. Perry Children’s Shelter. The club also launched a Student Leadership Conference to help develop leadership skills in rising sophomores and juniors in Lexington School District 1.
