Rotary GSE Trip to Brazil

August 13, 2009

COLUMBIA, SC – August 13, 2009 – The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is seeking young professionals and business people who are interested in participating in an all-expenses-paid trip to the Paraná state in southern Brazil.  The region, which borders on Paraguay and Argentina, is a major business, agricultural, and tourism center.  This trip is a part of the Rotary Foundation’s Group Study Exchange (GSE), which is a unique cultural and vocational program for business people and professionals between the ages of 25 and 40.

Team members experience the host country’s culture and institutions, observe how their vocations are practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas.  Team members also serve as Goodwill Ambassadors for South Carolina.

GSE team members cannot be Rotarians or an immediate relative of a Rotarian.

Applications to participate in the program are due by September 23, and interviews to select team members will be held in early October.  The trip to Brazil is scheduled from May 22, 2010, to June 20, 2010.
