S.C. Department of Commerce announces new Senior Project Manager

New project manager to focus on Chinese investment

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Department of Commerce today announced that Wally Wang has joined the agency as a Senior Project Manager. Wang will work to promote economic development and business development throughout South Carolina, focusing specifically on Chinese investment.

After nearly three years, he is returning to the Department of Commerce, where he served as a senior research analyst from 2006-2012. An experienced business development professional, Wang brings a variety of management and development skills to this new role, serving as general manager at Taiji Group USA, Inc. and deputy general manager at Keer America Corporation prior to accepting this position.

Wang holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from China Pharmaceutical University, as well as a master’s of science in business administration and an international master’s of business administration from the University of South Carolina.
