Sadler Hughes Apothecary Displays Local Pride with Handmade Flags Honoring PC and Clinton High
July 29, 2025Sadler Hughes Apothecary, a cornerstone of the Clinton community since 1917, is proudly showcasing two unique works of local craftsmanship: hand-crocheted flags representing Presbyterian College and Clinton High School. Created by talented artisan Paul Fallaw, these flags now hang prominently in the store, adding to its long tradition of celebrating local spirit and school pride.
“We’re honored to display these incredible crocheted flags created by Paul Fallaw,” said Walter Hughes III of Sadler Hughes Apothecary. “They’re a perfect representation of the pride we have in our local schools. Whether they’re here temporarily or long-term, we’re thrilled to have them on display and grateful to Paul for sharing his talent with the community.”
A History of Community Support
Sadler Hughes Apothecary isn’t just a pharmacy—it’s part of the fabric of Clinton. For more than a century, the locally owned pharmacy has supported everything from youth sports leagues to school fundraisers, booster clubs, and civic organizations. The pharmacy has long been known for its window displays that reflect community events and seasons, often celebrating local teams’ victories or milestones.
From decorating in Blue Hose colors for Presbyterian College game days to backing the Red Devils of Clinton High, Sadler Hughes has continually shown up for local students and athletes—both in spirit and through sponsorships. The addition of Paul Fallaw’s handcrafted flags is yet another way the pharmacy honors the teams that bring pride to Clinton.
