Sales Heating Up At Saluda River Club; More than $4.5 Million in Properties Sold
February 16, 2009Lexington Community Dispels Market Trends
LEXINGTON, SC – February 16, 2009 – Despite a lagging residential real estate market in most of the country, properties are selling very well at Saluda River Club. With more than $4.5 million in sales of lots, Lexington’s newest community is proving that the residential real estate market is doing well in the Columbia area.
Forty-one properties have already sold to people who recognize the value of the Saluda River Club. Columbia was also recently cited by Forbes Magazine as one of the nation’s Top 25 Housing Markets.
“Of course we have expected great things from Saluda River Club because of the location, the schools, the neighborhood design and the quality of the community,” says Andy White, partner with Lifestone Communities, developers of Saluda River Club. “We encourage people to come on by and see what all the buzz is about. And it’s even more exciting now that Forbes has put Columbia in the top 25 hottest housing markets.”
In addition to the 41 home sites, more than $3.5 million in completed homes have sold as well and each week more contracts are being signed. Saluda River Club hosted the recent Columbia Homebuilders Parade of Homes, which featured six luxurious estate homes in the River District of the community. Even before the Parade began, one of the six homes had sold; another sold during the Parade and one has sold since.
Several builders have come in to purchase additional lots in this section to build homes. Prices start in the $500,000s. With prices for townhomes starting at $180,000 and single-family homes in the $300,000s, the Village District is traditional neighborhood design with a mix of home styles from single-family, cottages, townhomes and flats. Inviting front porches and wide sidewalks along curving streets encourage a sense of community.
Amenities At Saluda River Club The amenities at Saluda River Club have made the community one of the most popular in the Columbia area.
