Company Opens Fourth Location In Charleston
CHARLESTON, SC – March 1, 2011 – Savannah Bee Company has opened a fourth retail location. This is the first retail location outside of Savannah, Georgia. The new store is located at 216 King Street in Charleston, South Carolina. After opening two new successful locations in Savannah in 2010, Savannah Bee is looking forward to growing the Low Country honey tradition.
Savannah Bee retail stores offer customers a unique shopping experience. Each store has a Honey Tasting Bar modeled after a wine tasting; one of our honey experts walks customers through each honey and explains the origins, flavor profiles and many ways to enjoy them. Also unique to Savannah Bee retail stores is a special children’s area outfitted with comfy chairs and educational media on honey and honeybees.
Savannah Bee created the specialty honey niche and is known for its exceptional honeys including rare Tupelo, award-winning Sourwood, creamy Winter White, delicate Black Sage and citrusy Orange Blossom. In 2009, Savannah Bee introduced a new line of honeys targeted at educating people about the many ways to use honey. Grill, Tea and Cheese Honeys have broadened consumers’ understanding of this unique and diverse ingredient. Especially innovative is the no-drip honey pump that fits Savannah Bee 12 oz. jars, making the product easy to dispense with no sticky mess.
Savannah Bee offers a unique line of luxurious, natural, beeswax-based body care products including Royal Jelly Body Butter, Beeswax Hand Cream, certified organic Hand and Nail Salve, natural and organic lip balms and lip tints.
The new store is now open. Store hours are: Monday-Wednesday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Thursday-Saturday 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., and Sunday 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. The grand opening is set for March 10th at 5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
