Save the Date for the City of Laurens Holiday Kick-Off Weekend

The City of Laurens is bringing the holiday spirit to the Square once again with its annual Holiday Kick-Off Weekend, happening Friday and Saturday, December 5–6, 2025. The weekend will feature a full lineup of festivities including the Tree Lighting Ceremony, Christmas Market, and the beloved City of Laurens Christmas Parade — all set against the backdrop of a beautifully decorated downtown.
Friday, December 5 | 5:00–9:00 PM
The celebration begins Friday evening with the Tree Lighting Ceremony on the historic Public Square. The event will feature live holiday music from Davidson Brass, festive performances, and a dazzling display of lights as the city’s Christmas tree is illuminated. Families can enjoy Santa’s Village, complete with children’s activities, crafts, and a chance to ride bikes with Santa around the Square.
The Holiday Vendor Market will be open throughout the evening, offering handmade gifts, holiday décor, and delicious seasonal treats. Downtown merchants will also join in the fun with extended hours, special promotions, and unique gift ideas to help you start your holiday shopping early.

The Christmas Market continues Saturday morning, giving visitors another chance to browse local vendors and shop downtown.

The weekend concludes with the much-anticipated City of Laurens Christmas Parade. This year’s theme, “Come Home for Christmas,” celebrates the warmth, joy, and community spirit that make the holidays special in Laurens. The parade will feature festive floats, marching bands, and community groups, with a special Grand Marshal leading the procession. As always, Santa Claus will make his grand appearance at the end to spread holiday cheer!
