SC Chamber applauds Senate passage of S.244

Following the Senate’s passage of S.244, South Carolina Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mike Brenan released the following statement:
“The South Carolina Senate just took a big step towards providing South Carolinians with much-needed relief from an unfair civil justice system that costs our businesses and families millions of dollars each year. Senators worked together to address concerns raised by stakeholders and their constituents to pass a strong bill that will keep businesses open and make our economy even stronger and more competitive while protecting innocent victims from bad actors.”
