SC Chamber hires EMMY winning journalist

COLUMBIA, SC – The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Andrea Mock has joined the team as the Associate Vice President of Communications and Public Relations. Before joining the Chamber, Mock worked as the Evening Anchor for WLTX News19, CBS in Columbia for ten years, and spent two years at both NBC24 in Toledo, OH and WDTV, CBS in West Virginia.  In her time as a journalist Mock won 3 Regional EMMY Awards and several AP News awards for her reporting.   Mock has also been deeply involved in volunteer work in our state serving as a board member of HappyWheels which operates out of MUSC, GHS, and Palmetto Children’s Hospital.  Mock also volunteers doing public relations and public speaking for the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, and Heroes In Blue.

Mock said, “I’m am very excited to join such a time-honored, trusted organization with such a solid history advancing and protecting businesses in our state.  The past few years of business growth here has shown the sky is the limit for companies in South Carolina, and it’s my mission to see that trend continue. “
