SC Chamber to host inaugural Women’s Leadership Symposium

On Wednesday, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce will host the inaugural Women’s Leadership Symposium, a conference designed to highlight the contributions of women for the betterment of our state.

This new annual summit will examine the unique perspective women bring to leadership and explore both the opportunities and challenges women encounter in business, featuring an array of prominent speakers and panels, including Anita Zucker as the keynote.

In addition to the speakers, the Chamber will present the ATHENA Leadership Award, which honors women who embody achievement at the highest level of professional excellence, have contributed time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community, and have assisted others – particularly women – in realizing their full leadership potential. In partnership with SC Women in Leadership, one award will be given for Women’s Business Leadership Accomplishment and another will be given to a leading Young Professional.

The winners – both of whom are notable, high-profile figures in the local community – will be announced at the conclusion of the symposium, around 3 p.m.
