Former CMS Administrator David Butler to Join Advisory Board

GREENVILLE, SC – May 9, 2011 – CareCam Innovations, an SC Launch Portfolio Company, today announced the addition of former Deputy Associate Administrator for Operations and Resource Management at the Health Care Financing Administration- now renamed as The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)- David Butler as an Advisory Board Member.

CareCam Innovations is a Greenville-based company formed to equip people for care. CareCam Innovation’s vision is for video to become the standard of health care documentation.

The company’s first product, the CareCam System’s ICan, is a patient-issued video documentation system. This patented invention creates a specific and complete electronic point of care health record whose interoperability will save time and money for caregivers. The technology ensures safety while benefiting and protecting both patient and health provider.

The company’s President and Founder is registered nurse Shannon Pierce.
