SC Launch Inc. invests in map-based design and construction platform SiteMarker

SC Launch Inc., the investment affiliate of the South Carolina Research Authority, has invested $250,000 in SiteMarker Inc. The Mt. Pleasant-based startup has revolutionized geolocation tools and techniques, making reporting more efficient for the construction industry.
“We’re proud to have partnered with SiteMarker and provide funding for their growth,” said SCRA Interim President and CEO Bill Kirkland. “What they’ve developed is transforming the overall construction industry, and we’re excited about their continued success.”
SiteMarker became an SCRA member company in January 2022, received a $25,000 startup grant in February 2022, and an acceleration grant in June 2022. They became an SC Launch Inc. portfolio company with this investment.

SiteMarker’s software platform collects and delivers land development data in real time, providing valuable insights for landowners, lenders, design firms, developers, contractors, inspectors, and municipalities. “Collecting and reporting data in space is a critical element of site development and project management,” said SCRA Senior Investment Manager Kevin Eichelberger. “SiteMarker makes this process seamless, fast, and efficient for on-site professionals every day.”

SiteMarker recently participated in the International Highway Engineering Exchange Program Conference hosted by the South Carolina Department of Transportation. They showcased their innovative solutions to help transportation and infrastructure professionals streamline field data collection, mapping, and reporting.
