SC School for the Deaf and the Blind Foundation’s Chili Cook-off

SPARTANBURG, SC – Spice up your Saturday night at the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind Foundation’s Chili Cook-off on Feb. 2. Presented by the JM Smith Foundation and Greenville Health System, the cook-off features entertainment by Not Even Brothers, chili tasting, appetizers, drinks, and valet parking.
Eleven teams representing Spartanburg businesses will showcase their favorite chili recipes with this year’s theme of “TV Land.” Emcees for the event will be Jamarcus Gaston, host of TV 7’s “Your Carolina” and Robert Conner, community volunteer.
Distinguished judges include Dr. Troy Beavers, Greenville Health System; Ken Daugherty, Fluor; and Jack McBride, Contec. Awards will include Judge’s Choice, Best Table Presentation, and People’s Choice.
Dress is casual, and the event begins at 7 p.m. at the Country Club of Spartanburg. Individuals can vote for their favorite team to help them win the coveted People’s Choice Award. To vote, go to www.scsdbfoundation.org or phone 864-577-7583. Support your favorite team for just $1 per vote.
Proceeds from the cook-off will benefit the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind Foundation and the students of the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind. Tickets are $65 in advance and $75 at the door. Tax deductible sponsorships are also available.
