SCDOT completes new third lane of I-85 Northbound in Cherokee County
November 19, 2024The South Carolina Department of Transportation has opened the third northbound lane on I-85 from mile marker 90 to mile marker 98. This completion is part of the I-85 Widening and Improvement Project.
This completes the new northbound lanes through Spartanburg and Cherokee counties from mile marker 77 to 98.
SCDOT encourages drivers to continue to use caution as there will be occasional, nighttime lane closures as final paving is completed from mile marker 96 to 98.
