SCE&G anticipates record usage for second day

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Aug. 9, 2007) – South Carolina Electric & Gas customers set a new record for electric use Wednesday and may possibly set a second record today. The current record of 4,869 megawatts was set yesterday between 2 and 3 p.m., surpassing the previous system peak set July 2005.
