Company to match donations to Project Share during November and December

CAYCE, SC – To help further support customers in need,  SCE&G is contributing $100,000 to the South Carolina Governor’s Office Division of Economic Opportunity through the company’s Project Share program that helps low-income families needing assistance with their energy bills. SCE&G will also match dollar for dollar all donations made to Project Share – up to $50,000 – during November and December.

Founded in 1986 and funded by SCE&G customers and employees, Project Share has provided more than $8.4 million in assistance to nearly 46,000 low-income customers in communities throughout SCE&G’s service territory. One hundred percent of Project Share donations go directly to those in need.

“Supporting our communities has always been at the heart of our business and caring for our neighbors and contributing to programs such as Project Share is more important than ever,” said SCE&G’s Vice President of Customer Service, Sam Dozier. “We’re committed to our customers and our communities and are proud to support Project Share – a project aimed at lending a hand to those who are getting back on their feet.”

All contributions made to Project Share are administered by the Governor’s Office Division of Economic Opportunity and are distributed through community action agencies.

Donations to Project Share can be made on a recurring basis or as a one-time contribution. To learn more, call SCE&G at 1-800-251-7234 or visit www.sceg.com/share.
