SCRA announces new Member Companies and grant funding
December 10, 2024Bio Streamline, Brokerbase, Ducklinks, Graphio, Marine Diagnostic Tools, Politexts, and VayuClear were accepted as South Carolina Research Authority Member Companies. Advent Innovations, Imagine Home Digital, Go Fig AI, Qatalyst Health, and Sojourn MedTech received new grant funding.
All SCRA Member Companies receive coaching and access to SCRA’s Member Benefits and Startup Resources, can apply for grant funding, and have the potential to be considered for investment from SCRA’s investment affiliate, SC Launch Inc.
Advent Innovations LLC received a $30,000 Demonstration Grant. The Columbia-based advanced manufacturing and materials startup provides modeling, analysis, design, and product development services using cutting-edge research, novel sensors, big data analytics, and other smart technologies, such as robotics. Its customers include private corporations and government entities in aerospace, automotive, civil infrastructure, and energy.
Bio Streamline LLC has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Clemson University-based life science startup developed a process for measuring and assessing meniscus allografts to match donors faster and more accurately.
Brokerbase LLC has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Greenville-based information technology startup uses its innovative technology to empower boutique real estate brokers to manage leads, market listings, and close deals efficiently.
Ducklinks Inc. has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Greenville-based information technology startup developed a subscription-based platform that offers personalized event recommendations and exclusive deals for cost-effective, family-friendly activities.
Go Fig AI LLC received a $25,000 Project Development Fund Grant. The Greenville-based information technology startup’s software enables business owners to access their data in a single platform. It uses AI-powered data management to provide answers to business questions, run analytics and tasks on their behalf, and automate recurring reporting.
Graphio Corporation has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Indian Land-based information technology startup developed an innovative platform for talent management, leveraging AI to provide unbiased, data-driven employee insights. Their approach ensures compliance with security standards, including SOC2 Type II certification, while enhancing decision-making processes like promotions, layoffs, and succession planning.
Imagine Home Digital Inc. received a $50,000 Acceleration Grant. The Johns Island-based information technology startup is a digital home interior design solution that uses light detection and ranging (LIDAR) and AI-powered mobile experience to unlock remote design services, allowing customers to make better choices.
Marine Diagnostic Tools LLC has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Irmo-based information technology startup specializes in dealer-level diagnostic solutions for all marine engines, including inboard, outboard, personal watercraft, and diesel engines. The company offers advanced tools like the TEXA and Jaltest kits and ensures comprehensive coverage with features like OEM-level tests, expert support, and flexible financing options.
Politexts LLC has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Columbia-based information technology startup developed an advanced peer-to-peer texting platform for agencies, consultants, and pollsters. The platform focuses on delivering reliable, compliant SMS, MMS, and video messages with a user-friendly interface that makes managing campaigns straightforward.
Qatalyst Health Corporation received a $25,000 Project Development Fund Grant. The Charleston-based information technology startup developed proprietary software for skilled nursing facilities. Their software instantly integrates with patients’ electronic medical records to digitize and update relevant Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement forms.
VayuClear Inc. has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Mount Pleasant-based life science startup developed a powerful and efficient tool called the Vortex that de-clogs surgical suction devices in seconds. This saves time and frustration while improving patient and staff safety. The tool also easily clears suction tip clogs and tubing, allowing surgeons and staff to continue working without interruption.
Sojourn MedTech LLC received a $50,000 Federal Matching Grant. The Clemson University-based startup developed the world’s first smart simulator, CanSim, equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software for assessing and training clinic personnel to improve dialysis procedures.
SCRA welcomes these new Member Companies and congratulates those that received funding.
Grant funding is made possible, in part, by SCRA’s tax credit program, the Industry Partnership Fund, and its contributions that fuel the state’s innovation economy. Contributors to the IPF receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit, making it an easy and effective way to help one of the fastest-growing segments of the South Carolina economy. Grant funding for Member Companies creates a direct, positive economic effect and job creation.
