Season Preview Month at Hollywild

March 6, 2011

INMAN, SC – Catch a sneak preview of Hollywild Animal Park’s 2011 season during the month of March when the park is open on Saturdays and Sundays. The park opens for the public from 10 AM – 5 PM and weekdays for groups by appointment. Programs for school and scouting groups can now be booked for the rest of the season.

On Saturday, March 19th, Hollywild will host International Earth Day, honoring the anniversary of the first Earth Day, celebrated on March 21, 1970.  The date is tied to the vernal equinox, the spring date where day and night are the same number of hours all around the world.

Visitors during March will also watch the early stages of the park’s transformation as habitats in the walking park are being redesigned and upgraded.

“We love having new features for both our animals and our visitors.  We know our visitors will enjoy watching the makeovers unfold throughout the season,” said Mary Lee Rollins, assistant park director.
