Second Saturday: Let’s Make Downtown Shine on October 11

October 8, 2025

Community members are invited to roll up their sleeves and help spruce up downtown Clinton during the Second Saturday Volunteer Morning on Saturday, October 11, beginning at 9:00 AM.

Hosted by Main Street Clinton, the monthly cleanup mornings bring residents, business owners, and volunteers together to keep the downtown district looking its best. Volunteers will meet at the Main Street Clinton office, located at 105 Pitts Street, before heading out to work on beautification projects throughout the downtown area.

Typical tasks include pulling weeds, tidying planters, picking up litter, sweeping sidewalks, and other light cleanup efforts. Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves and basic garden or cleanup tools if they have them, but supplies will also be available on site.

“These Saturday mornings make a real difference,” said Jim Spry, Director of Main Street Clinton. “When the community comes together, even for a few hours, we’re able to accomplish a lot. It’s about taking pride in our downtown and making it a place where people want to visit, shop, and spend time.”

These efforts make a visible difference in the heart of Clinton. By giving a couple of hours on a Saturday morning, volunteers help create a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.

Second Saturday cleanups are part of Main Street Clinton’s ongoing mission to support revitalization and encourage community pride. Everyone is welcome to participate—families, individuals, students, and local groups.
