Seed Architecture adds interior design expertise
August 2, 2023Columbia-based Seed Architecture announced the recent addition of Anna Marie Barfield to its team. Barfield has joined Seed Architecture, a full-service architecture and planning firm, as a designer.
“We’re very excited to welcome Anna Marie to the Seed team to help the firm continue to grow and serve our clients well. Anna Marie’s unique skill set will allow the firm to reinforce our work with office, healthcare and retail clients both in the renovation arena and with new-build construction projects,” said architect John K. Powell, who founded Seed in 2015.
Barfield is Seed’s second full-time interior designer and “has already contributed to the work of the firm through space planning and visualization efforts for current clients and ongoing projects,” said Powell.
A native of Anderson, S.C., Barfield is a recent cum laude graduate of Anderson University, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design. While a sophomore at Anderson, Barfield won a nationwide Kravet Design of Distinction Competition Award for 2021. Established in 1918, Kravet Inc. is the industry leader in the home furnishings industry.
In her spare time Barfield loves to be outside, and for the past four years she worked in adventure elements at a camp in Hendersonville, N.C. She also enjoys baking, painting and graphic design.
“I am excited to join the Seed team, and I’m looking forward to growing as a designer and creating new memories and experiences,” Barfield said.
